Tuang Coffee was founded in 2014 in Manggarai by Andre, a local processor who wanted to change how coffee was traded in his home region. Instead of waiting for harvest and paying uncertain prices, Tuang buys coffee upfront, before the season begins. This gives farmers the confidence and resources to invest in better farming and processing practices.

Beyond fair pricing, Tuang works closely with growers, building processing facilities, sharing knowledge, and improving post-harvest techniques. The goal is simple but powerful: better livelihoods for farmers, and better coffee in the cup. Café de Flores is the result of that long-term commitment—proof that when farmers are supported, quality naturally follows.

Flores sits about 320 kilometres east of Bali, shaped by a dramatic chain of active and dormant volcanoes. Coffee arrived here later than on other Indonesian islands, but the land quickly proved its potential. Volcanic soils rich in minerals, combined with high altitudes and cool mountain air, create ideal conditions for slow cherry development. The result is coffee with clarity, sweetness, and a distinctive tropical character that feels inseparable from the island itself.
